Last week Kiki and I enjoyed a lovely day out in Kalk Bay. Since I live in the Cape Town CBD I am spoilt in not having to drive long distances to have a good time! Instead of doing our usual city-slicker runs, Kiki and I headed to the sunny fisherman's village a short drive out of central Cape Town. I spent a lot of my childhood in Kalk Bay , since my uncle is a fisherman from there, so it was really nice going back and having a fun day with my best. We enjoyed a scrumptious calimari&chips lunch at the very local fishery; Kalkies (in our fab outfits obvs.) People stared at us and we probably liked it.
Followed by an icey stroll on the pier; watching the boats bob & the waves splash about as we giggled at our funny lives. I'm really gonna miss this silly lemon when she leaves me (you'll hear about that soon). Its funny how some people think we "calculate" our friendship for "publicity"(how vapid is that word?). Well you have it from me; we are definitely 'real' friends - if you overheard the crazy conversations we have you'd have no doubt in your mind that this here is real.
