BUR DUBAI - THE OLD TOWN.
We stayed at the Arabian Courtyard hotel in Bur Dubai - directly translated as Mainland Dubai and is the old city located on the Western Side of Dubai creek. Bur Dubai itself is not inhabited by many emirates but Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi expats. We enjoyed attended the mosque opposite our hotel just behind the Dubai Museum - created by the Sheikh of Dubai to pay homage to the history of the original Bedouin people of Dubai - pre oil wealth.
