I often tweet about my obsessive compulsive closet organizing and thought it would be great to share some of my closet organizing tips! A while back I blogged about storing your boots (find it here) and this time around, in "closet confidential" , I thought I'd talk about color co-ordination. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing but provides ease when selecting pieces to compile your looks. I sort my handbags, hats, shoes and garments according to their colours. Because I like to think of my outfits in terms of colors this really works for me, although some people organize their closets according to types of clothes like "jackets" or "pants". My closet transcends from dark to light colors, I found it easiest to organize this way, although you can get creative with yours! Sounds like me! compulsive! I love sorting out my cupboard but I have intense hoarding issues. I can't seem to get rid of stuff :o It has gotten to the point where my cupboard shelve gave in an the Narnia of clothes shot out haha. x
Wow, i needed this lol, i always struggle keeping my closet tidy, ill do it for a few weeks then i'll just go back to my old ways, sigh. Your ideas are genius though!Btw, do you mix your old clothes with the newer ones? I try and seperate my work (old) from my weekend (new) clothes. I work in the building industry so i can't be glam during the week lol
Haha Zahrah thats so funny! I used to be the same but I try to be honest with myself now and just give things away I don't wear anymore.
@Rageemah Thats a great idea! I don't have a job yet so I don't have to reorganize like that; once I graduate and start working perhaps I'll use your approach. As for keeping things tidy I'll be posting on that in the next addition keep an eye out
