New Hair! Spoilt Salon Review.

Finally got my hair done after much debate on what to do! Thanks to you guys and your twitter advice and votes I decided to go for a very subtle ombre look. I informed my stylist, Rene at Spoilt Salon in Greenpoint, that I was super nervous about changing my hair color since I have been a full blown "black beauty" forever! She assured me that she wouldn't change too much, keeping it natural at the top. I have been to so an array of local hair salons in the past few months and after each consultation I was left feeling anxious and chickened out thats probably why I have taken so long to change my color! Thanks to Rene I am the happiest girl enjoying all the confidence and compliments coming my way. She is certainly the best stylist to touch my hair, since we have a mutual love for Kim Kardashian I trust her even more with my locks.
She did a color treatment before and after dying my hair. The color lifted really well which I was super surprised about.

Tips to getting your perfect do:

- Do your research
Find as many photographs as possible of the look you're going for. I trawled Facebook for pictures of friends and celebrities. I showed Rene pictures of the color and cut I'd like to go for, she was really good at interpreting my research into something that worked for me
- Consult
Speak to as many stylists as possible. If you're feeling uneasy about the salon or the stylist keep looking. I checked out 3 or 4 Salons before finding Spoilt Hair&Beauty. I asked friends and family for referrals.
- Speak up
Let your stylist know exactly what you want and how you're feeling. I told Rene how nervous I was about going from black to a lighter brown thus she was able to calm my nerves and get the results I wanted. I also asked her advice on how to keep my hair moisture filled and looking good post-salon.

Let me know what you think of my new do!
Follow Spoilt Salon on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date with their latest specials.
The beautifully designed Salon is chic and welcoming
Basin chairs are super comfortable. I put my feet up and just relaxed.
Everyone is talking about "Moroccan Oil" Yes its as amazing as you think and smells divine! Place an order today!!
Rene got rid of spilt ends, added moisture and gave me a color boost at the lengths of my hair. She also added volume by feather layering the front lengths framing my face. She blow dried it with a big round brush and finished off with Moroccan oil to add shine.

Your ombre looks pretty doll! I like how subtle it is.
I've had ombre hair for over a year and I just love how low maintenance is (besides a monthly treatment) but chic!
